A
Chartered Civil Engineer since 1970 JEFFERY SMITH has worked on structural
aspects of buildings of all kinds. He has worked in the consultancy, contracting
and government sectors. Jeffery is author of 'UNDERPINNING and repair
of subsidence damage' published in 1994. He has lectured on subsidence
and building defects to mature architects at the University of Cambridge
and at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
Jeffery Smith is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Society for
the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
